The Technical Inspection of a Building or better known as ITE is a visual inspection carried out by an architect, surveyor or building engineers to determine the state of the building elements and their deficiencies, which could cause safety problems or risk situations for their habitants. Buildings deteriorate over time and therefore it is necessary to assess the condition of buildings.
When is the ITE necessary?
The property has always been obliged to conserve its property, but since the entry into force of the Royal Decree of the ITE (Technical Inspection of Buildings), buildings older than 40 years have to pass the inspection of a technician who certifies the soundness of the building before the public administration.
For more information you can consult in the BOE Law 8/2013, of June 26, on urban rehabilitation, regeneration and renewal.
How much does an ITE cost?
The hired technician's fees will depend on the size of the building to be inspected. At Rehabilitació 9 we have technical professionals to inspect and report on the state of the building.
